Met A Chinese FAMILY (Parents too!)

I just had to post this before services today. Yesterday at work the cutest little Chinese girl got seperated from her parents. She was so adorable except that she was crying. Since my job as the greeter has me right next to the customer service I went over to help. I asked her if she adopted but she didn't answer because I think she didn't know any english. Well, in a few seconds her parents came running up to get her. They were Chinese too! I had totally forgetten that they could adopt as well. I asked if they adopted her from China. They must have been so freaked out by almost losing their baby that they didn't answer. If helping these folks get their daughter feels so good I can't wait for my own gotcha day!!!

I find it interesting that you would assume that she was adopted at all.... then when you saw her parents and they were Chinese that you would still think that she was adopted!!

She was probably their biological child...

As an adoptive parent of Chinese child you are going to have to work on how you view people on how they 'look' or you might just be labled racist.

but that this blogger *might* be racist--oh I think that fact is evident...*IS* racist.

Mockingbird, I will pray for these heathen, vicious souls who have taken it upon themselves to be so foul and racist. Why CAN'T Chinese people adopt, too? That's awfully racist. Everyone knows that anyone can adopt.

Studies have shown it is not only inappropriate to ask a child is adopted but its none of your business. Just because you are adopting dosnt give you the right to ask such a intruding question. Leave out that you asked when the child was scared and missing her family. I cant believe the third comment. I totally agree with the first comment. Heathen is a strong word asside from vicious get a grip and educate yourself. Life is bigger than you know.

Lily, I think that we ought to leave the notion of 'appropriateness' where it belongs - with God, who will decide for us all whether our actions are 'appropriate' or not. Life isn't bigger than we know - it is exactly the size of the palm of our Father's hand, and maybe you should educate yourself a little more on adoption, which is, after all, The Father's plan and not ours.

Yes, the moment we are Born Again, the truth is finally revealed that everything happens because of Him, everything we say and do. Preacher Dick has mentored me since I was a baby Christian, and he has helped me see THE TRUTH. Praise the Lord Almighty.

In God's eyes, there is no racism.
Mockingbird is of pure heart.

I have said it before, and will say it again: get behind ye, Satan!

Blessings,
Joy

How funny... Mocking Bird has all of those aliases and keeps posting under the others to continue the ruse.

Amusing

Take those children out of the east and bring them west! It is the Lord's way. You are only honoring his message.

Um, why on earth would you assume that the poor child was adopted? Just because she happened to be Asian? That's quite a jump. Then, to think that even AFTER you saw that her parents were also Asian? Wow. Let me dispel a few misconceptions for you:

1. Not all Asians are Chinese.
2. Not all Asian children are adopted.
3. While Asians can, in fact, adopt they can also give birth to children, just like us white folk do (see, that’s where all those Asian babies being adopted come from in the first place!).

Can I just say that it scares the heck out of me to think that you passed a home study? You have got sooooo much to learn.

Mom to 2

And “Joy” – “in God’s heart there is no racism”? What? That doesn’t even begin to make sense.

God Shaped Hole said,
What does that have to do with the fact that you should not go out of your way to ask a child how they joined there family. Im a christian and I pray everyday. I believe God has a plan yes. But the only judgemental people I see here are the People who call themselves christian and then call someone a heathen for trying to educate the seemingly clueless women who owns this blog.
